We got some bad news from home today our dog Rosie is in the hospital after suffering some seizures the night before. The seizures are currently being controlled with medication, and I've been on the phone with the vet getting updates on some various tests they've done so far to isolate the cause. We were of course hoping for one of the less traumatic possibilities, like an infection or epilepsy, but X-rays show she has some tumors on her lungs. The vet explained that these are most likely secondary to a tumor elsewhere, probably in the abdomen, and they will see if they can find that with ultrasound tomorrow to get some cell samples for a more accurate prognosis. They believe that it may also have spread to the brain, which is causing the seizures. The outlook now doesn't look so good.
We're thankful for Mark and Ray's quick actions in getting her in, and Laura, who just returned home tonight from
Trav and Barb have been great in their compassion and support. We went ahead as planned to the Dinghy Dock Pub on

Loren, Erin,
Sorry to hear about Rosie's issues.. That's always hard and being away from home doesn't help but it looks like she is in good hands. We will check the blog for updates. Jim, Becky and Ashley
