7/15 Silva Bay

We awoke to the usual morning breezes but the sun was shining to portend another beautiful day in paradise. Trav's knee was acting up so we decided to postpone the fishing trip and instead shot the bull for an hour or two in the morning. Later in the morning, while the tide was still low, we all went for a dinghy ride, using both dinghies this time, out past Shipyard Rock to explore a bit around the Flat Top Islands. We noted some sea lions basking on shore at one point, and hoped they weren't there to eat all the fish.

The afternoon consisted of mostly leisure time; Erin did some painting and I did some reading and a couple crossword puzzles. We both went for a walk to the store, taking along the computer to check emails and update the blog.

We had some salmon and potatoes for dinner, and Barb and Trav came over with a copy of the movie "The Queen", which was our entertainment for the evening. He also brought over the memory card from their camera, which I downloaded to our trip photo file. It has some great shots of the Potentate heading through Dodd Narrows, Erin and I in the dinghy, and a lot of artsy perspective shots by Barb. We're glad to get those shots to add to our collection. We don't often get photos of the boat underway.

Tomorrow we'll see about that fishing expedition, and we'll probably stay at least another night here.
