We are officially boating! We plan on spending the night here at our moorage, and then we'll head out in the morning for the Ballard Oil fuel dock and points beyond. Ray dropped us off around 7:30 or so and headed back home in the Jimmy. He'll use it this weekend to retrieve Mary from
For the most part, our stuff has been stowed away. That's surprising, as it seems we've loaded just about the entire household onto the boat over the last few days. We'll relax this evening and put the rest of the stuff away over the next couple of days.
Mack, who owns the boat across from us at our moorage, came over and asked if he could paint our anchor. It was a pristine white when we bought the boat, but we've been using the anchor quite a bit, and the paint was worn off the ends of the flukes and on the shaft where it goes into the hawse pipe. Mack loves our boat, and said he'd been looking across at the anchor for some time and wanted to do something about it. "Sure, go ahead", we said, "but you may need to redo it in a couple of months when we return." Later that evening he brought out his grinder to clean off some rust and gave it a coat of marine white with a spray can. Looks real nice thanks Mack!
