Preparations, continued

Well, that didn’t work – I’ll try it as an attachment…

Preparations

We are busy preparing for the second half of our summer fun – cruising aboard the Potentate.  We returned last week from a month-long drive to Florida and back to visit with family and see the sights.  On that trip, we were able to post to the blog almost daily, as many motels now have Internet access.  That won’t be the case on the boat trip, so it’ll be a matter of catching up when we come into a port where access is available.  I’m also trying out the feature where I can post the blog updates via email – starting with this post.

We intended to leave this coming Monday morning, but that has been set back a day so we can retrieve Erin’s car, the PT Cruiser we took to Florida and back, from Ellensburg.  It ended up there after overheating while Erin was taking her mom over to Spokane.  A rescue mission ensued and we all had a trip to Spokane in the Jimmy.  Hopefully a new radiator fan will be installed Monday morning so Ray and I can go retrieve it.  If not, we’ll develop a Plan B for retrieval and get underway anyway.

The other feature I want to test with this emailing is the inclusion of photos, so I’m going to just stick one in the text here to test it out.  This is an aerial shot of the Broughton Islands – this will be the furthest north we’d venture on this trip.
